In 1985, we sent a batch of memes into a coal mine with nothing but a penknife, a whistle, and three miniature replicas of the leg lamp from 'A Christmas Story.' The mine was then sealed up for the next 35 years and all exits buried under 69 feet of cement (nice).

Of the nearly 200 memes sent down into those tunnels, these 40 are the only ones to survive. The things they've encountered have hardened them to levels of dankness heretofore unrecorded by mankind. Was it cruel? Perhaps. But science is an unforgiving mistress.
